Don't Ruin Your Gear —
A Care Guide from The 3rd Monkey
You trained hard for this. You saved up for this. Don't be the person who ruins their hoodie on day one.
Follow these simple rules and your 3rd Monkey gear will outlast your excuses.
Washing
Cool wash. Always. 20°C maximum. That's it. That's the rule. Your washing machine has that setting for a reason — use it.
Hot washes are for bed sheets and regrets. Not for your gear.
Turn everything inside out before it goes in. Your prints and logos will thank you. So will your future self.
Drying
No tumble dryer. Ever. We know it's tempting. We know it's quicker. It's also a fast track to a Gi that fits your little cousin.
Air dry everything. Flat or hung — either works. Away from direct heat and direct sunlight. Just let it breathe.
Ironing
Step away from the iron. Especially over any print, logo, or embroidery. Heat and graphics are not friends. They never have been.
If your gear needs a refresh, hang it in the bathroom while you shower. Steam is your ally. An iron face-down on your chest print is not.
General Rules
-
Wash with similar colours. Black with black. You know this.
-
Don't leave wet clothes sitting in the machine. Get them out. Respect the fabric.
-
Store folded or hung. Not screwed up in a ball at the bottom of your kit bag. (We see you.)
The Bottom Line
We built our ranges to last. Treat it right and it'll still be going strong long after your training partners have tapped out.

The 3rd Monkey. Fight for your place. Not for the faint of heart.
